"...makes you uncomfortable somewhere deep inside." Capt Ahmed

Loneliness might be death-defying, especially when you are stuck in a cremation ground.

But not for Jeevan Ram , the protagonist who is a 'Dom' (one who burns the dead bodies). He not just survives in this deadly-loneliness but has made a small little home for himself and has a dog as a companion

One night he freaks out as someone dumps a dead body and the drama unfolds. How he talks to the dead body, how he tries to fulfill the last three wishes of this dead person, how various other characters come in and give their own narration on various aspects of life..., is worth to watch out for. The pains of an old man who thinks of himself as a discarded object, the teacher who zones out when the simpleton Jeevan asks him to fulfill one of the wishes, the thief who steals even from a dead body and the sardar jee who just needs a dead body so that he can save his skin..., threw light on couple of harsh truths of life.

Each of the character makes you uncomfortable somewhere deep inside.
Ved Upadhyay & NIteesh Pandey. The great team at KAASH

#Niteesh Pandey as Jeevan and his colloquial lingo rules the stage. His minute expressions while trying not to talk to the dead body or while making a cup of tea (live) on the stage, his hold on all the props, his talking to the imaginary dog and in the end narrating the death of Balwant..., It was all along an author backed role and Niteesh lived up to it. Kudos

Niteesh Pandey in Lasht Wish

#Sanjay Ratha, #Ved, #Honey Singh and #Sanket Vedurla were also there to add on to the story line. Written by #Suryasnata Tripathy the play was crisply directed by Ved Upadhyay. #Krishna Shukla, played with the lights well and balanced the ambiance perfectly. The stage and the surroundings were well utilised and never looked empty.

The way the thirsty crow story was given a twist and narrated by Niteesh, is worth a watch.

Overall the #LASHT WISH made an impact. Deserves a huge round of applause

Something about the reviewer: #Capt Ahmed is a branding professional. He is actively involved in Theater & Films as an actor. Poetry & street plays, come naturally to him.
