The Slums of Balapur near Hyderabad are the makeshift camps for the #Rohingya refugees. With scarcity of space, more people in every dwelling the Hygiene and sanitation problem needed to be addressed.

The refugees just wanted a safe shelter and all for them talking about sanitation was very difficult. That's where #ROADWAYZ was approached to devise a street play.

The team at Roadwayz made two #street-plays focusing on the problems of girl education, early marriages, health, hygiene and wrapped in sanitation through a hilarious script full of dance and songs.

The Slum Audience not just enjoyed the shows but also started humming the songs. The kids started calling the actors by their Skit-names.

Ekta Supare as Fatima, Srikant as Hussain Chacha, Siddarth as Abbu, Upasana as Ammi, Nitesh as Asif were impressive. Romeo on Dafli and Chhuk chhuk chhuk... by Riaz set the momentum.

Written and directed by #Capt Ahmed the group performed 8 shows in a span of 20 days.
